I work a a company which builds SEO software. the key is now which page.. it's which words you target to appear on the first page..
there are MANY ways to improve your rank in google.. everything from local vs mobile vs national search engines, to linking all your social media accounts, to targeting which words are actually searched for in specific location. Eg.. in your "local" area "locksmith" may be searched for LESS the "Copy Keys", so you need to target the words which are search for more..
There is both an art and a science behind modern day SEO.
