I do want to hold onto it afterwards, but not for using. More for picking. I don't want to go to the locksmith, the purpose of this is the fun of picking it.

I realize it won't happen overnight. I've already made a few keys out of bicycle spokes, and they can do the trick so far. I'm able to push all the levers while simultaneously putting tension on the bolt. Although the tension on the bolt is the part i'm least confident about. I can physically see the levers through the keyhole while i press them.
I'm definitely a beginner, but I'm good at this type of thing. Really good with my hands and spacial awareness. It's just a fun project so any info would be great! Thanks.
