Yeah i read that earlier... any ideas on where to get one from? I don't think the lock is available yet they are probably trying to figure out how to design something around that fancy key, that works well :)

Probably a Kickstarter campaign.

It says in the article that they are considering one.

A lock for that key... A nice challenge.

It looks like it would have to be something inside that fancy key ;)

Also, existing key concepts like the EVVA MCS can't be copied by photographing the key. You would have to insert the key into a portable "lock" that reads the code.
Well. That's how any mechanical key can be copied. Period.

The basic concept of a couple of mechanical check pins (perhaps in the style of the Miwa magnetic locks) combined with either Evva MCS style magnetic rotors or some sort of RFID insert is interesting (if not exactly completely novel as a number of high security lock manufacturers have begun offering locks that combine traditional mechanical lock designs with additional electronic elements). Still a very cool idea.

Yes, it depends only on how many locks they will sell. If they sell huge quantities, somebody will develop a key decoding tool.
Veni, vidi, relinquo. Vale!

But the website says they won't put magnets or electronics into their key.
