As in all teh locks he has are keyed alike or just the 2 you get are keyed alike?
If only the 2 you get are keyed alike and are different from the other locks you should be safe, it's not a disadvantege. In fact it's an advantage, since you only need to carry 1 key for both padlocks.
If all the locks he has arekeyed alike (such as he has 100 of the same padlock keyed the same as leftover from some big order) skip the lock. Chances are almsot all the locks of that kind in your vicinity will be keyed the same. (Especialyl since it's a rare lock around you.)
Abloy isn't bad. In fact it's very good

If you don't want it to sit there in all it's shiny beauty you can make it a bit beaten and muck it up with oily dirt or pfelcks of paint making it look old and shabby.
and one more thing to consider if you are geting an abloy 24 RK (focus on RK as in rekeyable) you can have it rekeyed without much hassle.
