Hi, Does someone understand the Chinese instructions (1-6) in this ad for a Yue Ma lock? http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Yue-Ma-b ... 04472.htmlWhat exactly do they suggest to do with the sticker on the heat shrink tubing around the keys? Thanks mh

that's very interesting mh. I don't know Chinese, but it seems like you rub the blue pen on the security seal of the shrink wrapped keys and it reveals some writing that you maybe match up the sticker on the cylinder and it shows you that those are the keys to your lock and if the package is opened in transit nobody can figure out the bitting because the keys are heat shrinked? But then I don't understand the 2 brass keys? are they set up keys? are they construction keys and then you insert the 6 silver keys and they drop out a ball/dimple and it locks out the brass keys? I like the hole in the keys to stop foil impressioning attacks, wonder how well that works. Hope you don't mind, but I just posted the photos from that site on Imgur, let's see if someone there knows Chinese, since I don't think we have many people here other than many Lockman28 who can read Chinese. http://imgur.com/gallery/zyBrU/new

So I started poking around on aliexpress and check out the 2nd photo in this lock, the keys come sealed in a pop lid can just like tennis balls. The Engrish in the description is very funny to read as well. http://www.aliexpress.com/item/CEI-sixt ... 9.9.kvhK1N

Yes These days, there are a number of interesting Chinese locks on the market... That one, the CEI, was covered by Barry some time ago: http://locktechinc.com/news/?p=818Cheers mh

Ok - so it's a special sticker to show that the 2nd set of keys was sealed at the factory, and since the Chinese know that stickers can be imitated, this one is harder to imitate because it has two layers with different contents and ink goes through the top layer somehow. I guess the effect is destroyed once the sticker is peeled off the surface. About (a slightly different version of) the lock itself (just one set of keys, no hole in the key): http://locktechinc.com/news/?p=670 - also by Barry. Cheers mh

Those are very cool locks, and I've never seen the CEI before, but why are they so expensive? Might as well get an MCS instead for that money.

I think the prices for these locks on aliexpress are not what a Chinese customer would pay. E.g. I got my Yue Ma "free spinning" cylinder for a much better price from Lockman28.

If you are willing to deal with a Chinese website, I found http://24h.pchome.com.tw has lower prices than some famous sites written in english like ali... or bang..., and much lower than "lockman". Cheers

Which tools do you use to read this site (and to write search strings), and what's you experience with shipping to Europe?
Cheers mh

Well, I haven't bought from that site, I just found it mentioned as a good lock source on another lockpicking website while looking for a padlock. Then I clicked the related products and found many others. For example here is one http://24h.pchome.com.tw/prod/DEAV0J-A81124707 To read the Chinese I copy and paste the paragraphs I need in translate.google.com Cheers
