I didn't know that manufacturers use different types of dimensions for there picks but it definitely makes sense.
And I have a lot of templates but I do not know of a place I could grind the picks. I Know someone that can do laser cutting And I was hopping to ask her but at the moment I just want to design the tools and make sure what materials I want to use before I decide how I want to make them.
Any more advice?
Might be better to buy a set of picks for $25 and learn how to pick, and THEN make custom tools to fit your needs. It seems like you might be putting a huge roadblock in your own way before you even start learning how to pick locks.
The templates are to be used with things like hack saw blades, where you file and grind your own picks, you dont go take them somewhere to be done for you, the whole idea is to make your own picks right?
*I'm not trying to sound snarky either, just not seeing where you're coming from I guess..
