I was asked to look at the non-working lock on a Diamondback truck bed cover. The pin on back of the key plug, that moves the bolt in and out, has broken off or worn out. But, now I cannot figure out how to remove the plug. There are no poke holes. I have tried hook-picking it out with no success. It still bothers me that I could not get it out. Any ideas? Experience rules!
Even if I had gotten it out I had no replacement for it.
Just a comment. The strength and quality of this lock was amazing. It is too bad they used only a 5-wafer, convenience key for the minimal security on an otherwise great bed cover.
