Wolfie brings up some valid usability defects which, not surprisingly, new users get pilloried for- sort of like some kind of initiaion ritual.
The most common bitching is mostly reaction to users being unable to find topics of interest. Well, the search funcition on this site is a mere hyperlink and most folks are accustomed to seeing the good 'ol text box and search button. Once results are yeilded nothing indicates relevance to the search term.
Imagine you're new in town, you want to do some research at the library so you ask the librarian, 'Where's the card catalog" you get "Hey idiot, don't you know where the card catalog is?" followed by 4 other librarians with similar venom.
Time for some positivity; I am really thankful for being allowed to sign up for free and post topics with images to boot. Other forums want a subscription fee for less freedom.
Instead of flaming newbies and moderators wasting their time telling folks how a web site works instead of sharing dazzling insights, can we see some minor layout changes ?
