When it comes down to it there is nothing better than manual tools for your Lock pick Set, whether they be retail, homebrew, macgyver style. DIY'ers look here.
Since your filing by hand, remember that the pickshaft does not need to be much longer than a key, just a bit of clearance for the tensor, and there you are, if you had put a key in the photo, we could have seen that the blade you are using is one of the small ones. if that pick handle starts to chafe you hand, wrap in in tape at the very least.
