Here's the problem. The Village has a large notice board with four glass panel wood framed doors behind which are the notice boards for local events, meetings etc. Three of the keys are lost. One is ok and reveals that the lock is a 2 1/2 inch brass cabinet lock and says legge 3 lever. The frames close on to a rebate.
As the local cabinet maker Ive been asked to sort it. The whole thing is very solid and well made in hardwood and the frames are 1inch thick so to try and pick the locks you are restricted by the long keyhole.
As a complete novice to lock picking does anyone have any ideas. The alternative is to take it away on a truck to my workshop, take it apart and rebuild it with new locks. Bear in mind its in the middle of the village square and its freezin at the moment. And its a freebie!!!!
