I said very much this same thing.
Let the regular forums be completely available to guest participants.
When they sign up, they have to go through a few sticky posts or something before they can make their own posts.
Topics to include.
1. Where to get picks.
2. The best picks for a beginner.
3. Basic refresher to the MIT guide, and a link to a working version.
4. Links to a newly reorganized primer on how to make your own picks.
4a. Include a sub-section on improvised picking tools.
5. A graphical page on where the search button is, and how to use it.
6. A requirement that you introduce yourself as your FIRST post.
6a. Include a little about how you got interested in lock picking.
7. Required to read ALL of Romstar's posts concerning ethics. If there aren't enough, I'll write a few new ones.
Number seven was meant mostly as a joke, and to make sure that you guys don't think I am being cruel, almost all of this stuff could be contained in a single stick post.
It might actually contribute to everyone's enjoyment of the site and what it has to offer.
